The majority of the team work out of the Head Office in Croydon, however some individuals prefer to be home based as we cover London and the South East. Due to business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Valuation Surveyor to join our expanding and innovative firm of Chartered Surveyors. The role will involve carrying out residential secured lending valuations and homebuyer reports, with development into building surveys. The successful candidate will work with our largest and longest standing clients which include some of the worlds most established banks and building societies. We have an impressive client list and drive our success through forging excellent relationships with lenders and delivering a best in class service.
On a day to day basis the successful applicant will survey and value a wide spectrum of residential properties throughout London and the South East. We use the iPad for data capturing which enables our surveyors to make the best use of their time. We are always coming up with innovative ways to improve efficiency and we encourage everyone to put their ideas forward.
Our Surveyors work closely with a range of clients and have close contact with lenders and our private clients. This means not only is the work more varied, we are also able to really form close working relationships with our client contacts.
What are we looking for?
Arnold & Baldwin welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We would like to hear from the best AssocRICS surveyors in the industry who are keen to progress and obtain their MRICS qualification. We have a dedicated Building Surveyor whose role is to coach and develop our team to deliver the best possible quality of work. We also have a dedicated point of contact for all APC training and development needs to ensure successful MRICS qualification.
Please note, candidates with MBEng, MCIAT, MCIOB or MICWI qualifications may qualify for our AssocRICS qualification route.
It would be preferable if you have some experience of carrying out mortgage valuations, homebuyer reports and building surveys, although this isn’t essential. It is, however, important that you are willing to learn how this work is undertaken.
Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential, as is IT literacy and the ability to manage varying workloads to tight deadlines.
